These photographs were taken during walks with my younger sister, visiting her favourite places around our local village—animal allotments, the park, and other familiar spots. Using a small digital camera with a built-in thermal printer, the images emerge in low resolution and monochrome, producing abstract compositions of high contrast and deep shadow. The prints themselves are inconsistent yet reproducible, introducing an element of unpredictability. The focus is simply on shadow and shape, allowing the work to remain open to chance and spontaneity.
